It is the same Office software suite that you used to buy in CD format from stores and physically install onto your machines. But this version is stored on Microsoft servers. When you buy your subscription you can use it online, download it onto your local machines or both, depending on what package you subscribe to.
Microsoft doesn't release the new versions of Office like before. Everything has been moved to the Cloud. The advantage is that Office applications get updated automatically. If there is any bug in them, Microsoft fix them automatically. The other advantage is that your files are saved on Microsoft servers. They take responsibility for its security and availability. You will have nothing to worry about, Microsoft is by far one of the biggest and most reliable companies in the world.
Depending on the package you subscribe to, a copy of your files are saved on your PC and in the Cloud on Microsoft’s server. Microsoft does take security extremely seriously and do not leave themselves vulnerable to legal issues and compensations.
All your files are backed up regularly by Microsoft however, there is a limit to the total size of your files. This is where we come in to help. We offer extra backup services such as Acronis by which we backup all your files, emails and everything else. We can even backup your entire internal servers and desktops.
Good question. Office has become an increasingly complicated application package. No one can live without some form of support for it. We package Office 365 with our standard support built in. As a customer you can rest assured that whenever there is an issue with your software not working the way it should, you are just a phone call away from instant support. It is like you have an IT engineer by your side within your office.
Per user. Each user gets 5 sub-licences and can install the applications on their office machine, on their laptop, on their iPad and even on their phone (depending on the package you buy).
No problem, just let us know and we will suspend the licences that you are not using so you don't get charged for them.
No. If you don't want to have your own domain, that is fine, Microsoft will generate a domain for you based on its own name, such as yourbusiness.onmicrosoft.com and your emails will be based on this domain. We highly recommend that you register your own domain with us and we can use your own domain when we create your account. Registering a domain doesn't cost much.
Here are a couple of things you may want to consider:
1) A systematic backup like Acronis which we can offer.
2) A fully professional signature design for your emails. This is an extra and cheap service that we manage for you. It comes with legal disclaimer for your business protection.
3) Extra email security. Microsoft offers some limited security built-in but we can extend this. We have a mechanism that positions itself between your emails and the outside world. All emails in and out are checked for viruses and scams before they hit your systems.
4) As part of Office applications you also get the new platform for collaborations called "Teams". It is a central platform for chatting, file exchange, video conferencing, teaching and training, and a lot more. We now offer a telephony service over "Teams" as well, reducing your internal and external cost of calls. Talk to us about this.
